The Information Technology (IT) Department’s mission is to deliver innovative, secure, and user-focused technology and data solutions that enhance City service delivery, support informed decision-making, and enable connected, adaptable, and high-performing operations in partnership with all departments. Established as a standalone department in Fiscal Year 2025–26, IT plays a central role in modernizing infrastructure, advancing data-driven decision-making, and supporting strategic priorities through the City’s five-year Information Technology Strategic Plan. With a strong focus on cybersecurity, system integration, and operational resilience, the department equips staff with reliable tools and insights to deliver efficient, secure, and high-quality public services to the community.

Information Technology Department services and responsibilities include;

  • Cybersecurity protection for City systems and resident data

  • Reliable access to City websites, online forms, and digital services

  • Public access to City performance dashboards and budget data

  • Maintenance of telecommunications systems for public communication

  • Implementation of modern technologies to improve resident experience

  • Interactive GIS maps and location-based tools for residents

  • Support for online payment systems and service request platforms

  • Training and outreach on digital safety and technology use
